I have been trying out Brand Ambassador and Affiliate programs. As I experiment, I'll be sharing companies that offer unique programs, and other useful information for anyone who has been considering these program opportunities. Below, I will discuss my personal experiences as well as other pertinent information such as ease of use, compensation, discounts, and more. Brand Ambassador⤵
A Brand Ambassador is an independent contractor that sometimes, but not always, receives commissions on products sold. Usually this is done via their personalized link. In this type of program the end goal is not typically to make an income from sales but to gain exclusive deals, discounts, event invites, and more. Many do it totally for free cause they love the brand. A company may hire ambassadors to create interest in their brand and get the word out about their products via networking in some manner. A person may be interested in filling such a position as they may be super obsessed with the brand already! So it's a win-win for everyone! 🎊
Affiliate Marketer⤵
An affiliate marketer is an independent contractor hired to sell products from a company with expectations on receiving commission or multiple commissions. From what I have seen, these can be from selling products, subscription sign ups, or even just by clicking on a specific link (pay per click). All companies have their own format for compensation and how they want someone to promote their products, usually via website, blog, social media or a combination. Like Brand Ambassadors, affiliate marketing programs are designed to create interest in the company. This type of program is more of a high pressure sales type of position because there are limits and other requirements to stay involved or you will be terminated. But, there are programs for beginners too! 🥳
The takeaway...
The BIG question when it comes to these programs is, "do I need a huge following."? Simple answer: no! These programs are for anyone and many are totally free to join!
Regardless of your online presence, some companies do have strict requirements and others do not. There are a lot of opportunities but you have to ultimately decide which company programs will be worth your time and effort.
